Must-see recommendations:
The exhibition "Chronicle of Vršac" guides visitors through the city's history, showcasing civic life and the significant historical moments and personalities that shaped Vršac.
Vršac has one of the longest legal traditions in Banat, and the Market Charter of 1804 marks a key moment in the city's history, granting it political and legal subjectivity.
The ethnological exhibition "Banat Collage" features a Banat room, collections of jewelry, pipes, gold-embroidered caps, and items related to viticulture and winemaking, showing how Banat traditions were preserved through generations.
One of the museum's interesting exhibits is the first bicycle, the "dandy horse" or "laufmaschine," invented in 1817 by Karl von Drais, symbolizing the development of cycling in the 19th century.
The archaeological collection covers the period from the Paleolithic to the Iron Age, with significant artifacts such as the Vršac Idol and the Dupljaja Chariot, which represent Serbian heritage and are featured on driving licenses.
The exhibition of Paja Jovanović's paintings displays iconic works, such as the Vršac Triptych and portraits of significant figures, illuminating his lasting influence on Serbian art, culture, and patriotism.
